Pretty sure the management knew by now that my cheques were bouncing like a basketball in an NBA match, however still kind enough to acknowledge and wave as I left the youth hostel to walk into Windsor to look for a job.
Peascot Street was alive with tourists and locals sitting inside and outside the pubs, but as a definite No Go as a punter I decided to venture into one of the second-hand shops for a bit of a gander.
I guess still proving that I was still in the game, (As well losing my patience to listening to another Prince and Simply Red song from what seemed totally counterfeit cd's I purchased from Singapore), I spotted a cd for 50p. Which by chance was exactly what I had left in my pockets.
Strutting off to find the nearest park seat, I sat down, opened up my only possession, my Sony Walkman, closed it, pressed start.
My eyes moving from side to side started wearing out the insides of my eyelids with the sounds of "Big legged woman", "I'd rather go blind" "Tore down" "You was wrong" and "Going Down."
"Who was this DUDE?!!!!" I'd heard the blues before, but never like this?!!"
At probably one of the lowest points of my life, "A blues that actually made me feel good!!"
Like my guardian angel, Freddie King sent me the message that "I wasn't alone" and as low as I was financially..... like "ZIP!!" financially, his music helped me to lifting my head again.
Walking back to the youth hostel, I spotted a handwritten note, sellotaped badly to the window of a pub... "Live in Bar person wanted".
I smiled with hope then looked up to see the name of the pub.... "THE HOPE"
Cheers Freddie.

Inspired Original Songs; "Where am I to go too" "Rich on Love" "Gangster Blues"
